  Séjour plaisant dans le centre historique

  Points positifs : Studio rénové dans le vieux Rochefort. Calme et en RDC. Très bonne situation géographique : proche des thermes, du port, du théâtre, etc. Literie confortable. Nous avons apprécié les WC séparés et la grande douche. Points négatifs : L'équipement est "basique", la table petite, et il manque un peu de place de rangement pour un séjour long.

  Cómodo y bien situado para recorrer la zona

  Points positifs : Apartamento pequeño pero muy bonito y bien reformado. Todo estaba limpio, cómodo y con todo lo necesario. Nos sentimos muy a gusto durante la estancia. Muy buena ubicación en el centro de Sarlat y el dueño muy amable.

  We spent a few days at this apartment near the heart of Sarlat. The location is perfect, walking distance to town centre. The apartment was also well equipped with everything we need. Only two things that we weren’t entirely satisfied with was that the towels provided were damp and had some odour. The host is responsive and helped direct us to a cupboard with more towels. Secondly, the pillows were quite small square pillows and weren’t particularly comfortable. All in all, it was still a great stay.

  Excellent séjour, tout confort.

  Points positifs : La localisation dans un immeuble de caractère en plein coeur de la vielle ville à Sarlat, dans une jolie place très tranquille. Le confort et la décoration de l'appartement qui a un séjour, une cuisine et deux chambres séparées, avec chacune une salle de bains et est très bien équipé. Le fait d'avoir un parking gratuit à moins de 10 minutes à pied de l'appartement. Points négatifs : RAS, petit couac à l'arrivée - l'appartement n'était pas prêt - mais résolu rapidement par le propriétaire

  I will echo what other reviewers have noted. First, the location is great, just a few steps away from the town center on a very quiet alley. Second, Hugo is very responsive, which removes one’s anxiety about how quickly one’s questions get addressed. We were there in the cool season and having efficient, controllable heating was very nice. There are some quirks that others have commented on, like the narrow stairs, which can make carrying suitcases to the upper floors a bit of a challenge. Also, the photos of the apartment make it look more spacious and well-lit than it is in reality. Beyond that, the place affords a great place from which to explore Sarlat and the surrounding countryside.

  We spent a few days in Sarlat to discover thé Périgord région. This appartement has everything one could need, cozy beds, a nice living room and a well equipped kitchen!

  We loved Sarlat, and the property was ideally located at its heart.

  Points positifs : The property was beautifully decorated, a real boutique apartment at the heart of one of the most beautiful towns I have ever laid eyes on, and within easy reach of some of the Dordogne's best chateaux and beaux villages. Everything you need (except perhaps some shower gel and a tea towel!) and everything very clean, stylish and modern. The banana palm in the courtyard garden provides a great view from lounge and bedroom! Easy smooth communication, convenient key box access. Parking on the doorstep is paid by the hour, but there's free parking in a five min walk. The town is lively, there are several bars as neighbours, but the Medieval walls are so thick, you barely hear a thing. The surrounding Medieval sites and amazing restaurants are steps away. Perfect. Would return happily - without a dog! Points négatifs : The open tread staircase wasn't pictured, and I do think if we'd seen it, we wouldn't have booked. We barricaded top and bottom of the staircase to stop our little dog going up and down alone (we checked it was ok to have a dog in advance, the owner's only reservation was dog fur (ours doesn't drop) and not an open staircase!). We noticed a cot and high chair in the property, I would be nervous to have a baby there. The good news is the courtyard garden is wonderfully secure, in fact it's a very secure property altogether. Also the description describes the lounge as being on the ground (it's not, it's on the first with kitchen) and the main bedroom being on the first (it's not, it's on the ground) and it's two storey (it's not, it's three - with another bedroom at the top) - just so you're aware of the layout and number of stairs.

  The loaction is perfect, especially for the market (we were there for the Saturday morning market). The apartment is quirky and nothing like we have ever stayed in before. The bedroom in the turret was lovely! The bed is very soft. The number of stairs was not an issue for us but it is something to be aware of - almost 100 steps to the bedroom from street level. However, despite another review a few weeks ago noting that the shower was so full of limescale that it did not work as well as the stair railing going up to the bedroom being broken, neither of these things had been attended to before we arrived. The lock on the door from the street no longer works. We enjoyed our stay!
